Thank you for sharing this, they did an admirable job highlighting solutions to the problem without guilt or preaching. I will take this to heart and seek out recycled or second hand sequins in the future!

I have no New Year’s plans, but I have become a fan of sequins in the last few months. Well, I always used to wear a sequin dress for my work Christmas party (with a white dress shirt and leggings under it). But in recent months, I have embraced everyday sequins. I worked through The Artist’s Way this summer/fall, and sequins kept coming up for me. So I bought three sequin things on Poshmark and so have been enjoying sequins in my life: a black sequin bomber jacket, a black sequin baseball-style sweatshirt, and a silver sequin top. I haven’t yet worn the silver one. Maybe for a Zoom this holiday season…

I bought Reiss’s Ella jumpsuit this year for my partner’s holiday party and can’t wait to wear for years. It’s pricey but really beautiful on and great quality. Also felt incredible to be warm and have convenient pockets while dressed formally.

I have an 80's vintage dress in black velvet from the thrift store. It's lined at the cuffs and collar with leopard print. I will probably wear that for New year's eve with gold sparkling nail polish. I will just be going to my brother's to play board games, eat and drink Feuerzangenbowle but who cares. You can’t get more cozy or comfortable than this sweater jumpsuit, which I own and love! With some cute shoes and a necklace you can dress it up, but also can be dressed down with sneaks. Highly recommend!
