The night my husband and I got together I was wearing a denim skirt. He ALWAYS mentions it when reminiscing about that evening, like a key character in the event. Perhaps it’s time to reintroduce one to my wardrobe…

This is a perfect item to shop secondhand- I’m willing to bet if folks check out their local thrift shop, Ebay or Poshmark you’ll find an amazing deal on a cute denim skirt (I’ve actually had a couple on my watch list on Poshmark the last couple months. Maybe it’s time to bite the bullet and go for it?)

I have one I love from Madewell with a ripped hem, that I was just wearing today! I feel so effortlessly put together with it on. But I lost a little weight from walking and swimming so much during COVID and now it spins around all the time when I have it on– I looked down today and noticed the back pockets were in the front! I should probably size down. Lately I’ve been loving wearing my flannel overshirt as a jacket and perfume to feel special. Also, my new blush and eye shadow which each contain spf! Maybe COJ can write about sun protection and fun ways to do it?

I love short demin skirts so much I told my husband I want to be buried in one. I don’t know what it is. I just feel cool! I’ve had one in particular for 8 or 9 years that I must have worn weekly before covid, and that I’ve dragged out again. Wore it today!

I have a denim skirt, and I love it- knee length, a-line, looks good with Birkenstocks or cowboy boots or tennis shoes. I wear my denim dress a lot too, it works when I want to make an effort but stay comfortable, and not get all fancy and fussy. I have my eye on a Boden chambray dress, but it’s pricey so I am waiting for a sale.

You bring back jean skirts, you bring back the word “dork.” Nevermind Covid—What is the world coming to?!? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Love the idea of pairing it with a chambray shirt! I have a beloved dark-wash denim skirt…. Paired with a black tee (or a leopard print tee if I’m feeling a bit extra) and white sneakers its my ultimate (mum) uniform!

I really love the way jean skirts look on other people, but haven’t been able to find one where the material around the zip area doesn’t pouch out, almost as though there’s too much fabric there, meaning it stands proud of my actual stomach. Does this happen to anyone else and have you been able to work out why?

Going into my closet now to pull out my old Jean skirt. Also “hello” to Sharon! Now I can’t remember the Pythagorean theorem or the title of that book I loved in 5th grade, but wasn’t Sharon changing careers and something or other? Her posts always made me laugh. Hope she’s good! Xo

I love the vibe of a denim skirt but I think they’re so rarely flattering. They somehow manage to make everybody look boxy? And show way too much when you sit down? I keep trying to pull them off and I think I’m done. I feel frumpy and conservative in them.

And this is coming from somebody whose wardrobe is 70% denim. I routinely wear double and triple denim. But I’m not enticed by a denim skirt!

There’s one exception – years ago a friend gifted me a high-waisted, midi length, distressed, acid wash, STRETCHY denim pencil skirt. I LOVE IT. It’s the only jean skirt that’s survived wardrobe culls.

I would love to wear a jean skirt but at 6 months pregnant waistbands are not welcome. :(

Damn, I have not *stopped* wearing denim skirts since 2007! Oops! Anyway, still rocking the denim, although I retired the chambray shirt awhile ago. Rock on!

Denim skirts! Part of my teacher uniform. Just got a new black one!

I’ve been thinking of dusting off my denim skirt after seeing my kid’s teenage babysitter wearing one with a simple white T-shirt and sneakers. The outfit looked super cute and comfy enough for a trip to the playground.

Love this…would I be pushing it to wear this in the winter with tights and a sweater? Am I pushing my luck? That is FULL high school for me.

I got rid of my jeans skirt because it didn’t fit any more, and now I need to make a new one. The old one was made out of stretch denim, which didn’t ride up.
