P.S. Glossary of mom terms and classic mom advice.
i would LOVE to own a copy of this print! iḿ sure my kiddos would find it spot on too : )
Hahahaaaa! So Spot on!
Haha. I say all of these and the definitions are spot on.
Hi Grace Farris!
All the words are highly relatable. Thank you so much for sharing.
I feel amazed reading this stuff.
“If it’s not yours, don’t touch it.”
All so accurate. She seems to speak for many of us.
Oh wow, do I feel seen. Said them all this week.
Oh no, now I need to find new codes!
Perfect. LOL.
Replace cookies with chips and it’s definitely all of the above over here!
Number 2 makes me feel so called out, lol! No alarm, but yes, „just five minutes more“, and who am I even kidding?!
When my daughter was two and a half, she loved being read to. One day she was demanding that I read to her, so I said, “What’s the magic word?” And without missing a beat, she shouted, “Abracadabra Mommy READ TO ME!” I mean…she did say the magic word.
These are all so eerily accurate!! I feel seen and attacked at the same time!
Haha! Me too! I say “Let’s go for a walk” and I mean “I NEED TO GO OUTSIDE OR I WILL LOSE MY MIND!”
My mom’s most frequent line “What are you doing?” = “STOP RIGHT NOW.”
I think I’ve finally mastered the tone because it works on our cat!
My mom’s was “You see with your eyes, not with your hands.” Aghhhh I hated it as a little kid, and now I catch myself saying it all the time.
Hahahah ??on the “5 minute” alarm ?
Here’s a big one from my childhood:
“We’ll see.” ====> “No.”
I say “We’ll see” to my daughter all the time and she responds “But Mom! That means no!” Spot on.
I have straight up told my small people that “we’ll see” really means “no, but I’m not in the mood to deal with the ensuing temper tantrum right now”
So busted on the 5 minute alarm. hahaha
Same!
Yep! My girls know “a few more minutes” really means 15-20 more minutes of screen time. Lol. It is so quiet and peaceful.
A mouse has eaten the bread… again.
Started binging on chocolates post motherhood. I don’t know for sure if that’s causation or correlation :)
The last one is my truest one!!! I have to get outside, or else.
Right?! I am the only one in my family though who does it voluntarily …
Could not be more accurate!
I totally ate all the cookies last night after bedtime…
Me tooooo Erin! (Thin mints)
Hahah ahh the cookie one is spot on – especially since we went through Girl Scout season!
Yes to all of us haha
Spot on!
