I have found some fun gifts through your links, and have recently been inspired to design some things myself, and know they love wall art and mugs for their favorite hot drinks to keep them cozy this time of year! I would love it if you could check them out here… https://www.etsy.com/shop/MountainWlydfire?ref=seller-platform-mcnav

She has been clear that she doesn’t want more “stuff” at this phase of life and she’s so practical that she’s nearly impossible to shop for. This year, I ordered a really nice live wreath through Food 52 (Williams-Sonoma also has good options!) to be delivered the first week of December, with a note that she was getting her present a little early so she could enjoy it for the whole season. Because of what it is, she’s pretty much REQUIRED to throw it out after a month or two. It’s kind of like food without being food – enjoy it for a short time and move on.

I just got my teenage nieces each one fun hair clip from the Wild Fable line at target ($5 each), and i’m rolling up a $20 bill into the clip and calling it a day. I confirmed with their mom – cash is king!

You just described MY inlaws, although they don’t live overseas, so I guess I have it easier :) Do they have ipads? I got these “Flippy Pillows” for my dad and FIL one year, and they were originally like “hmm…” and both of them have used these daily for years: https://a.co/d/9CIIeSF. Also, my mother in law is a gardener and is in a phase of life where she doesn’t want more “stuff,” but perhaps a really nice coffee table book on flower arranging? Could be put to use, but it’s also just beautiful to look at! https://a.co/d/8JJdENC

If this is not too late and you are still searching, these kneepads are great for gardening and any other reason you need to be on your knees. There may be some other things on the site too.

They live overseas and have to pay custom taxes on packages we send, so I typically mail some of my children’s artwork and maybe some other small item and then make a donation to a charity I know they love. BUT this Christmas we are going to visit them for the first time in many years. I can take an actual gift but I’m stumped. They are somewhat simple people who have what they need and don’t want much extra. They love gardening, are active in their church, one of them enjoys woodworking. I really want them to have something nice to open on Christmas morning.
