Book: Charles Portis’s classic, True Grit. Donna Tartt calls True Grit a “perfect” novel and she is right!

Purchase: Nordictrak s15i spin bike on super sale on Cyber Monday. I rarely gift myself anything so expensive (and debated it for six months!) but this felt like a gift to my future self. I hate the gym and, at 42, felt I needed to start exercising in a way that I enjoy and would continue for years. I love the bike. Being able to ride in quasi Italy or Montana or the South Pacific after a stressful work day has been mind-altering. Likely the best purchase of my life.
