On the sun cream application- I was at the coast the other day and saw the BEST moment of teaming up to get sun cream on a kid I’ve ever seen:
Mum: *puts sun cream on child’s arms*
Kid: Noooooooo I don’t want it!!!!!!
Mum: Okay, shall I get Auntie Freya to rub it off then?
Folks, Auntie Freya just proceeded to RUB IT IN while saying “Oh goodness I’ve really got to rub this off, there’s so much on you!”. Kid was delighted it was “gone”, kid also is safely protected. ABSOLUTE GOLD.
Haha, number one and four, all the way. Except with a little boy, it’s also “we don’t point the super soaker at mommy!”
Just seeing these after a long weekend trip for family reunion…
Love this!! My daughter is 17 now, but these SO ring true from when she was little, especially the last one. And, SJ: HAHAHAHA
Thank you, Grace Farris, for these and all of your wonderful comics. I look forward to them every Friday morning!!
The popsicle sticks! Why?! I find them everywhere.
The popsicle stick problem is real! I find them resting on the coffee table, under a throw pillow, on the dining room table. They just lie there with their little jokes, mocking me.
Yes to quiet time… In your rooms and don’t come out. For an hour, at least. ?
Hahah! Thanks :)
I know it’s still light out, but go the #$^@ to sleep.
100%
When I was young, my mom (a single working mom) and I were at the public pool and there was a plane flying by (the ones that have that white spray coming out of). I asked, ‘Mom what does it say?’ and she said, ‘It says to leave mommy alone.’ We still laugh about it to this day. She definitely deserved some alone time in the sun.
hahahaha
Devastatingly relatable! ?
Chasing your child with sunscreen on your hands is a summer ritual. And no, the pool is too cold for mommy (and I just washed my hair).
Cheryl! Are you me? My husband always teases me because I say the pool is too chilly and if I do go in, one rule: don’t get my hair wet! :P
Hahahahaha yep!
