Just piggybacking on Isabel’s comment to sing the praises of Dr. Jart’s Ceramidin cream. It’s still a more expensive than a drugstore cream, but I find I only need a pea-sized amount each night, so a tube lasts me nearly a year. My skin sounds very similar to Gabrielle’s (very dry but also oily in spots, rosacea, acne-prone), and Ceramidin has been the best thing I’ve ever tried. In the winter when I’m especially dry, I layer it with a little squalane, and my skin has never looked better.
