I love the fact that you’re wearing your aunt’s jacket. I sometime wear my grandmother’s trench coat that she wore 60 years ago when I was a baby. I love the pink rain coat, I think that will be my purchase this spring

*not* rain friendly, but I ache for the warm-enough weather to wear my Alchemical jacket from Horses Atelier. Instantly makes me believe I am 200% more put together than my slightly-stained-by-children sweatshirt and jeans might otherwise convey.

Does anyone (ANYONE?!) have a recommendation for a good maternity spring jacket? I have been scouring the internet, and everything I find is either an expensive winter puffer or a sweatshirt. This appears to be one of those mysterious holes in the market (maternity bathing suits with good bust support are another). Any help from this wise community would be appreciated!

As the winter season in the northern hemisphere is wrapping up (hopefully!!), does anyone have any recs for long/to the knee wool coats for shorter ladies? Looking for something that will keep me warm next NYC winter + am hoping to find a couple places I can keep an eye on for out of season sales! thank you COJ community!!

What a perfectly times post! I was just going through my jackets and I realized that all my little spring jackets are in pre-pandemic sizes! So… apparently, I spent the last two years in hoodies and cardigans, and jackets weren’t my thing??? And while I have lots of fun stuff to sell at the consignment store – I don’t have nay jackets for me!

I always loved your color block windbreaker. I feel like the Cotopaxi windbreakers are a pretty good stand in and at a relatively reasonable price.

For Nill who asked about rainboots, I love my Sperry duck boots. The first time I wore them was on an overseas trip to Belgium where I did a lot of walking and I had no problems with them whatsoever.

Does anyone have a lead on a mid-thigh-length wool plaid shirt style jacket? Not even sure if that makes sense, but my sister was spotting them all over recently and they would be so cute on her! We just weren’t sure where to begin to look.

Cute! I like the colorblock one you wore on repeat! I love my oversized Gap denim jacket. Any suggestions for a good rainboot? It can be a long messy spring and I need a comfy rainboot for errands as well as longer walks during this time of year.

I got deeply into patterned track jackets a few years ago and have since developed a related fascination with shrunken bombers; I usually cruise eBay for secondhand Adidas Firebirds for the former and have a reversible piece from Scotch and Soda that’s my favorite of the latter. They make beautiful music with little black dresses, somehow?

I like the patterns on some of the choices, but wouldn’t wear any of these. They’re all so shapeless! If they make professional models look lumpen, what will they do to mere mortals like me? Please could we have some options that give the wearer the illusion of having a waist?
