One more comment in support of Heath. After years of admiration and months of scouring the internet, I found a perfect Coupe set online for a great price. I also went up to their tile shed in Sausalito monthly until I snagged perfect (for me) tile seconds for our kitchen backsplash.

Something I haven’t seen mentioned—eyebrow nanoblading!! It was $650 (including tip) and worth it to restore my over-plucked-in-2002-brows to their natural state. I wear so much less makeup now that I don’t need to fill in my brows.

Other splurges—gold jewelry, blundstones, and custom framing for art.

I’m with you on the Diptyque candles!! I also think they’re actually a better spend for cost per hour of burn time. They really last and I find that I blow them out sometimes because the scent is so strong, thereby making them last longer!

Kristinq if you come back to these comments I am also a therapist and I got my degree in my 30s. I got a master’s in social work from a state university while working full time. It was busy but manageable! Cost me about $20K I think. Most social work programs don’t require a GRE.
